We may be bias here because we think Stoneground Flax Butter is the most delicious thing on earth, but we have really stumbled on something when combining it with peaches, bananas, and cinnamon.
Not only is this the tastiest smoothie I can remember drinking, it's also full of bioavailable fiber, plant protein, antioxidants, and of course Omega 3's from the stoneground flax butter.
The recipe is pretty straight forward. I used 1 Banana, 1 fresh peach and about 2/3 cup of frozen peaches, 1/3 cup of O3 Superfoods Flax Butter, a half cup of unsweetened coconut milk, a tablespoon of cinnamon, & a little crushed ice. I also garnished with a slice of fresh peach and a little cinnamon because that's how I roll.
Not only is the flavor of this smoothie outrageously good, but it's has a pretty outstanding profile, which includes:
Bananas - Bananas are fantastic. They are rich in potassium, which may help reduce blood pressure and fluid retention and contribute to good bone health.
Peaches - Also an excellent source of fiber and antioxidants! Not to mention Peaches are rich in vitamins C, A, E and K, & potassium.
Cinnamon - Not a lot of people know this, but cinnamon is loaded with powerful antioxidants, and it can help fight inflammation and heart disease. Plus it's a game changer as far as flavor is concerned. Cinnamon is incredible. Seriously, people have fought wars over the stuff. Look it up.
Coconut Milk - Did you know coconut milk might be able to help you lose weight? It contains medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) which stimulate heat production and may help encourage weight loss. It's also good for cardiovascular health and contains lauric acid which boosts your immune system.
Flax Butter - Of course the flax butter, the star of this little party, which is itself high in fiber, Omega 3's, loaded with plant protein, and lignans. Want to know more? Well we can school you, here. One lovely thing to note is how nicely the acidity of the fruit cuts through the Omega 3 stickiness of the flax butter. It really is a wonderful way to eat stoneground flax butter!
Taken together this a pretty darn superfoods rich super smoothie. Find out for yourself, by picking up some O3 Superfoods Flax Butter today! It's available not in 8 ounce containers.
Enjoy!
