Flax Butter Granola Bars

(Check back in here regularly for new Flax Butter recipes and ideas!)

Need a healthy treat you can grab and go? These 6-ingredient granola bars are simple to make and packed with protein and O3. With only 15 minutes of prep time needed, you will have a week’s worth of snacks in no time.

Being able to make these in the comfort of your home means that you can control the amount of sugar added. Luckily, the O3 Superfoods Stoneground Flax Butter is sweetened with honey in every container meaning you can make this bar with less sugar while tasting great. Using our flax butter is what makes this bar soft, chewy and dense with benefits.

Here are the 6 ingredients you will need to make these delicious bars:

  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1 cup of raw almonds
  • 2 tbsp of sunflower seeds
  • ¼ cup of honey
  • ⅓ cup of O3 Superfoods Stoneground Flax Butter
  • ¼ cup of dark chocolate chips

These bars are extremely customizable so feel free to add in any extra ingredients to this recipe. We recommend dried fruit such as raisins or blueberries. Add these ingredients in at the same time you mix in the chocolate chips.

Roast a mixture of the sunflower seeds, almonds, and oats in the oven for about 12 minutes at 338° Fahrenheit. With those ingredients in the oven, mix together your honey and flax butter. Once your oven ingredients are done, combine this mixture with the flax butter mixture (don’t be afraid to use your hands here, it will be sticky!). Cover a small tray in parchment paper and spread the new mix into a flat, even layer. Add in the chocolate chips, and any other extra ingredient, during this step. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes to solidify when you are finished. Once solidified, cut the sheet into small, even rectangles.

These bars are so easy to make and can be stored in the fridge for a week! If frozen, these bars can last two months. We recommend the fridge so these snacks are easy to grab and enjoy.
